Todays Euro Cup action included France versus England and the Ukraine vs Sweden.

France versus England:
In todays much anticipated Group D opener, France and England both played a solid game that ended in a 1-1 tie.

With only a few attempts on goal prior, England's Joleon Lescott powered in a solid header 30 minutes into the first half to take the lead for England.

Just nine minutes later, Samir Nasr evened the score for France with a low kick to the left side.

Ukraine vs Sweden:
Both teams exciting Group D opener today ended in a 2-1 victory for the slightly favored Ukraine team.

While there were some great goal attempts, the first half remained scoreless with both goaltenders shutting down the offense until the second half.

Things changed 52 minutes into the game, with Ibrahimović getting the first goal to give Sweden the lead, only to be countered 3 minutes later with Andriy Shevchenko scoring for the Ukraine.

Shortly afterwards Shevchenko broke the tie with yet another goal, carrying the Ukraine through to a 2-1 victory.
