Italy versus Croatia:
Despite Italy being strongly favored in the match, todays matchup resulted in a 1-1 tie against Croatia.

The first half of the game saw plenty of free kicks for both sides, ending up in a goal into the top left corner for Italy at 39 minutes by Andrea Pirlo.

Many fouls and free kicks later, Mario Mandžukić managed to get one past the keeper for Croatia in the second half at 72 minutes to tie things up between the two.

Despite a few more respectable efforts on goal including plenty of free kicks, the game wound up tied at 90+6.

Spain versus Ireland:
Spain made it obvious why they were so heavily favored in todays game as they crushed Ireland in a 4-0 victory.

Torres started the lead for Spain early, scoring at the 4 minute mark and giving them the lead for the first half with no further goals for either side despite many attempts.

During the second half Spains lead continued to expand, with Silva scoring at the 49 minute mark, Torres scoring again 70 minutes into the game, then Fàbregas putting the final nail in the coffin at 83 minute into the game.
