Today's games included the Ukraine versus France and Sweden up against England.

Ukraine versus France:
According to the odds France was likely to beat the Ukraine in todays outing, and they didn't disappoint - shutting out the Ukraine with a 2-0 victory.

Despite plenty of free kick opportunities, the first half remained scoreless for both teams, keeping things at 0-0 into the second half.

Things change quickly in the second half however, with Jérémy Ménez scoring at the 52 minute mark, followed just 3 minutes later with another goal by Cabaye to produce a 2-0 lead for France.

With no solid goal attempts by the Ukraine following France's significant lead, the game ended up without a counter point to France - ending the game in a 2-0 shutout.

Sweden versus England:
Today's matchup was a close game between the two contenders, ending up in a 3-2 victory for England.

The first half ended up in a number of free kicks for both sides with no goals, with Carroll scoring the first at 23 minutes in with a solid header after Steven Gerrard floated n a kick past Swedens defense.

During the second half Glen Johnson scored an 'own goal' after an unfortunate rebound at 49 minutes in to tie things up, only to have Mellberg score for Sweden ten minutes later to take the lead.

At the 64 minute mark Walcott scored for England to once again tie the two teams up, followed by a solid goal by Welbeck to bring England into the lead at 78 minutes into the game, where it stayed until the final whistle.
