Today's games included Portugal versus the Netherlands and Denmark up against Germany.

Portugal versus the Netherlands:
An important game for the Netherands hoping to keep in the tourney, Portugal manages to out their opponent in a 2-1 victory.

At just 11 minutes into the first half, Rafael van der Vaart scores for the Netherands to the relief of their fans; where the score remained until 28 minutes, when Cristiano Ronaldo scored for Portugal to the dimay of the Dutch to tie things up.

With both teams playing sold defence into the second round it appeared the game might go into a tie during the whistle, when Cristiano Ronaldo scored at 74 minutes to put Portugal ino the lead.

As the 17 minutes crept by until the final whistle at 90+3 the tension was palpable, but alas, no tie was to be had as the game ended at 2-1 for Portugal, knocking the Netherlands out of the tournament.

Denmark versus Germany:
In another exciting matchup as the Danes fought hard to better their position in this years Euro Cup, Germany managed to do as the odds predicted and keep Denmark under wraps with a 2-1 victory.

The first half opened up with some good goal attempts and their respective saves by both sides, with Podolski first breaking through for Germany at 19 minutes to take the lead at 1-0, followed by Krohn-Dehli evening things up just 5 minutes later at the 24 mark to carry through with a 1-1 tie into the second half.

The second half remained tense as Denmark put up some solid goal attempts on Germany, only to have Bender score his first international goal against the Danes 80 minutes in, carrying them through to the victory at 90+3.
