This BetMGM review uses the Gambling Commission's public register, the BetMGM listings on the UK App Store and Google Play, and LeoVegas Group's own website. The Commission register shows LeoVegas Gaming PLC, account 39198, with remote licence 039198-R-319450-029 and a head office in Sliema, Malta. The app listing states that BetMGM UK is owned and operated by that company under that account.
LeoVegas Group's history page says the group became part of MGM Resorts International in 2022 and launched BetMGM in the UK in 2023. This review covers that UK site only; the brand name is used in other countries by businesses this review did not examine.
The same licence covers other UK sites of the group. The register lists betmgm.co.uk, betuk.com, leovegas.co.uk, 21.co.uk, pinkcasino.co.uk and slotboss.co.uk as active domains. Betting on real events has been licensed since 29 April 2016 and on virtual events since 23 April 2025; casino and bingo are licensed too. On 22 October 2026 the register showed no regulatory actions.
BetMGM started in the United States, and the US business is a separate company. Entain described BetMGM LLC in 2021 as its joint venture with MGM Resorts International, founded in 2018 and headquartered in New Jersey. This review does not cover that business.
The UK site comes from LeoVegas Group, which its founders Gustaf Hagman and Robin Ramm-Ericson launched as a mobile casino business in 2012. After the UK launch, the group's history page records BetMGM's arrival in the Netherlands and, in October 2024, in Sweden, both under LeoVegas Group rather than the US joint venture.
MGM's route to the UK ran through a takeover. On 2 May 2022 an MGM Resorts subsidiary offered SEK 61 in cash per share for LeoVegas AB. By the end of August 2022 MGM controlled about 95.7 per cent of the shares and set out to buy the remainder and delist the company from Nasdaq Stockholm, according to MGM's own release. BetMGM then went live in the UK on 17 August 2023, at first on desktop and mobile web only, with the apps planned before a national media launch in mid-September. MGM described it as the first step in taking the BetMGM brand beyond North America, built on LeoVegas technology.
On 6 August 2026 LeoVegas Group announced that Tiger, the sportsbook it built itself, had launched in the UK through BetMGM, LeoVegas and BetUK. The announcement names odds boosts, partial cash out and a flex combi feature among its features.
In practice, BetMGM's sports betting now runs on the same in-house platform as its two UK sister brands. The group describes Tiger as already live in Denmark, Brazil and Sweden before the UK. How each feature works in detail, and which markets it covers, is set out in BetMGM's own rules, which could not be read from our connection.
Before Tiger, the UK sportsbook used technology from the supplier Kambi, which announced in September 2023 that LeoVegas would run BetMGM's UK sports betting on its platform, Bet Builder included. Tiger itself comes from a June 2024 deal in which LeoVegas Group bought Tipico's US sportsbook technology platform; iGaming Business describes the new sportsbook as powered by it. The same report calls flex combi a product for more flexible combination bets.
The listing names thousands of pre-match and in-play markets on football, horse racing, tennis, rugby and US sports, and mentions the Premier League, Wimbledon and the Cheltenham Festival. Bet Builders and accumulators are offered, along with Odds Boosts, Super Boosts and BetMGM Specials.
Golden Sub is BetMGM's own feature: the listing says a bet stays on if your player is substituted, on selected leagues and markets only. The conditions could not be read from an official BetMGM page.
Most of the listing is about the casino, with Las Vegas branding, MGM-exclusive games and a jackpot network shared across LeoVegas sites. The App Store files the app under Casino. It is rated 18+, needs iOS 16.4 or later, and points to a safer gambling section in the app and on the website. These are the publisher's descriptions, not features tested here.
BetMGM's website could not be opened from our connection. A screenshot of its help-centre article "What payment methods does BetMGM accept?" (help.betmgm.co.uk), taken on 3 November 2026 with the web address visible, lists four withdrawal methods: "Payment Card", bank transfer, PayPal and Apple Pay.
The minimum withdrawal is £10 for each of them. The maximums are £8,000 by payment card or Apple Pay, £35,000 by bank transfer and £4,000 by PayPal. The article gives no processing times and does not mention withdrawal fees, so neither is stated here.
BetMGM's replies to reviews on the App Store direct customers to a 24/7 support team at support@betmgm.co.uk, and its replies on Google Play point to live chat. Phone support and opening hours could not be confirmed from an official page.
LeoVegas Gaming p.l.c. declares a wide set of tracking data on the App Store: purchases, contact info, search history, identifiers, usage data and diagnostics may be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. Usage and advertising data may be linked to you for third-party advertising. Precise location and sensitive info are listed as collected for app functionality without being linked to your identity. The same developer publishes the BetUK, Pink Casino and LeoVegas apps on the UK App Store.
BetMGM UK is licensed to LeoVegas Gaming PLC, account 39198, part of MGM Resorts International since 2022, with no regulatory action recorded. Since August 2026 its sportsbook runs on LeoVegas Group's own Tiger platform, shared with BetUK and LeoVegas, with partial cash out and Golden Sub among the features described. Its help centre lists four withdrawal methods with a £10 minimum. Account terms could not be read from BetMGM's own pages, so check them before you open an account. 18+. BeGambleAware.
