Bookmaker Reviews: UK Betting Sites Checked Against Official Sources

Each review sets out what official sources say about a bookmaker: its own pages where they could be read, its app listing, and the Gambling Commission's register and regulatory actions, with the date they were read. There are no scores on these pages, and nothing was tested with real money; the editorial ranking is on the homepage. Two tables compare all fourteen listed bookmakers on facts their own pages and app listings confirm.

Which bookmaker reviews are published?

A review appears only where official sources give enough facts specific to that bookmaker; more follow as their sources are checked.

  • 10bet review

10bet is run by Blue Star Planet Limited under Gambling Commission account 43173. Its own pages list in-play formats, markets by sport and seven withdrawal methods with a £5 minimum. This review sets out what those pages state and what they leave open.

  • bet365 review

bet365's British betting licence is held by Hillside (UK Sports) ENC, a licensee with its head office in Malta. Its UK app listing describes in-play betting, a bet builder and live streaming. In April 2024 the licensee paid £239,085 under a regulatory settlement with the Gambling Commission.

  • Betfred review

Betfred's online licence is held by Petfre (Gibraltar) Limited. Its UK app listing describes 21 sports, a multi-match bet builder, Sub Switch and Racing Post data. • BetMGM review

BetMGM's UK site is run by LeoVegas Gaming PLC, based in Malta, which has been part of MGM Resorts International since 2022. Its sportsbook moved to LeoVegas Group's own Tiger platform in August 2026, with partial cash out and a Golden Sub feature, while the app itself leans towards casino. No regulatory action is on record.

  • BetVictor review

BetVictor is run by BV Gaming Limited, based in Gibraltar, under a remote Gambling Commission licence with no regulatory action on record. Its UK app listing puts horse racing first: live race streaming, a BetFinder tool and Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish racing. The old vcbet.com address now forwards to BetVictor.

  • Betway review

  • Coral review

Coral's online sportsbook is run by LC International Limited, part of the Entain group, under a Gambling Commission licence it shares with Ladbrokes. • Fitzdares review

Fitzdares Limited holds Gambling Commission account 400, with licences that include general betting, pool betting and casino. This Fitzdares review reports what the bookmaker's own app listing, membership pages and help articles state, with sources and dates.

  • Ladbrokes review

Ladbrokes is run online by LC International Limited, part of Entain, under the same Gambling Commission licence and UK terms as Coral. Its app listing leads with odds boosts on horse and greyhound bets, Acca Boosts, a 2Up & Win football feature and virtual sports, and its help centre spells out exactly which markets offer Cash Out and when they do not.

  • LiveScore Bet review

  • Unibet review

Unibet is run by Platinum Gaming Limited under a remote Gambling Commission licence. Its pages describe football, racing, a bet builder and cash out outside racing, with a £5 minimum withdrawal. The Commission published a £10 million sanction against the licensee in September 2025.

  • William Hill review

William Hill is run in Great Britain by WHG (International) Limited, part of evoke plc. Its UK app listing describes a Bet Builder Hub, racing streams and in-line football stats. In August 2025 the Gambling Commission fined the licensee £82,687 after a breach the licensee had reported itself.

How do the fourteen bookmakers compare on sports and betting features?

All fourteen take bets on football and on UK and Irish horse racing. The feature columns show only what each bookmaker's own pages or UK App Store listing confirmed on 21 October 2026, so a gap means not confirmed, not missing. The sports column gives the count we use on the homepage, with the date we read the menu.

Yes means the bookmaker's own website, help pages or UK App Store listing names the feature as a standing part of its service; app store descriptions are the publisher's own words and were not tested by us. Not verified means we could not confirm it from those sources. It does not mean the bookmaker lacks it. Bookmakers are listed A to Z in this table; our general ranking is on the homepage. Sports are counted from the bookmaker's full A–Z menu with one set of rules for everyone: politics, TV and novelty markets, lotteries, virtual sports, casino games and offers are left out, and headings for one sport, such as Gaelic football and hurling, count once. The Coral and Ladbrokes counts come from screenshots of the A–Z menu on their UK sites, because their websites could not be opened from our research setup. For BoyleSports and BetMGM we hold only screenshots of the menu without the web address, so their counts are not shown as verified. Menus change from day to day. Streaming usually comes with conditions, such as a funded account or a bet on the event.

Which apps, withdrawal methods and support channels does each bookmaker document?

Every one of the fourteen has an iPhone app in the UK App Store. The minimum iOS version tells you whether an older iPhone can run it. Withdrawal methods and contact channels are shown only where the bookmaker's own pages name them.

A list of withdrawal methods is what the bookmaker's own pages name, and the cashier may show more. Withdrawals normally go back to the method you deposited with. Processing times are not in this table; where a review gives one, it is the bookmaker's own figure, not a time measured here.

How was this comparison put together?

The same checklist was used for every bookmaker, using only official sources: the bookmaker's own pages, its UK App Store listing and the Gambling Commission register. Not every check could be completed for every bookmaker. Several bookmakers' websites could not be opened from the connection used for research, which is why some of them show more gaps. The gaps reflect what could be read, not the quality of the service.

These tables carry no scores and no order of merit; the editorial ranking is on the homepage. The full process is set out on how we review betting sites.

How are these reviews put together?

Every fact in a review comes from a named source: the bookmaker's terms, help or rules pages, its official app store listing, or the Gambling Commission's public register and published regulatory actions. Each review lists the date its sources were read. Where a page could not be read, the review says so instead of guessing.

The reviews give no score or star rating, and they do not describe welcome offers. The "Visit Here" links are affiliate links to the bookmakers' own websites, so this site may earn a commission when you open an account through one, at no cost to you; a listing is not an endorsement. If betting stops being fun, the responsible gambling page lists free help.
