BetVictor Review: UK Licence, Racing App and the VC Bet Brand History

BetVictor is run by BV Gaming Limited, based in Gibraltar, under a remote Gambling Commission licence with no regulatory action on record. Its UK app listing puts horse racing first: live race streaming, a BetFinder tool and Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish racing. The old vcbet.com address now forwards to BetVictor.

Who runs BetVictor?

This BetVictor review is built from the Gambling Commission's public register and the BetVictor app listing on the UK App Store. The Commission register shows BV Gaming Limited, account 39576, holding remote licence 039576-R-319370-028. Betting on real and virtual events and casino have been active since 1 November 2014, gambling software since 24 March 2015 and bingo since 31 March 2021. The head office is at the World Trade Center on Bayside Road, Gibraltar.

BetVictor is one of seven active trading names on that account. The others include Betano, Parimatch and talkSPORT BET, several of them listed as white-label domains, so one licensee stands behind more than one UK betting brand.

The App Store listing names BV Gaming Limited as developer. Sports betting and the casino share one app.

What does the BetVictor app listing describe?

The listing names football, horse racing and golf, with pre-match and in-play odds. Racing gets the most space: all major UK and Irish meetings, win, each-way and forecast bets, live race streaming, form, stats and horse profiles, and a BetFinder feature for finding a bet on UK, Irish and international racing.

It also states Best Odds Guaranteed on UK and Irish horse racing. The conditions for that could not be read from an official BetVictor page, so check them before relying on it.

These are the publisher's descriptions, not features tested here. The listing describes promotions in general terms and refers to BetVictor's customer terms for the conditions. It rates the app 18+, needs iOS 16.0 or later, and gives the GambleAware helpline, 0808 8020 133.

What stands out

  • The listing is built around horse racing: streaming, form and the BetFinder tool.
  • The Commission records no regulatory action against BV Gaming Limited.
  • The licence has covered betting and casino since November 2014.
  • The vcbet.com address of the former VC Bet brand forwards to BetVictor today.

Points to check

  • Withdrawals are usually processed within 24 hours, but the money can take a further 1–3 working days to reach a UK bank, depending on the bank.
  • The Best Odds Guaranteed terms and exclusions could not be read from an official BetVictor page.
  • Casino games sit in the same app as sports betting, so set your limits for both.
  • The same licensee runs other brands, so check which brand's terms apply to your account.

How do withdrawals work at BetVictor?

BetVictor's help centre, read on 3 November 2026, lists four withdrawal methods for the United Kingdom: debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer. It gives a processing time of up to 24 hours for debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay, and 1–3 working days for bank transfer.

The same page says withdrawals are usually processed within 24 hours while security and compliance checks are completed, and that the money should then reach a UK bank within 1–3 working days, depending on the bank. The debit card article describes those 24 hours as the time to review a withdrawal request and says extra checks can make it longer. These are BetVictor's own figures; nothing was timed here.

For UK customers the debit card article sets withdrawal limits of £5 to £30,000. A balance under £5 but of at least £1 can still be withdrawn by contacting customer services, and the help page adds that "a reasonable processing fee may apply". Section 8.13 of BetVictor's general terms says: "We do not charge you for deposits to and withdrawals from your account." A bank or payment provider may still charge its own fees.

History of BetVictor

BetVictor's roots go back to the Chandler family of east London. According to Gambling Insider, William Chandler's Walthamstow Stadium greyhound track opened in 1933, and after the Second World War his son Victor took over the bookmaking side of the family business.

His son, Victor Chandler, moved the firm to Gibraltar in 1999, a step the same account describes as a trend-setter for British bookmakers betting from offshore. The brand changed name several times: to VC Bet in 2004, back to Victor Chandler in 2008, and to BetVictor in 2012. On 23 May 2014 Michael Tabor bought the BetVictor group, ending the family's day-to-day involvement. In June 2023, as iGaming Business reported, the company renamed its group BVGroup, the umbrella under which BetVictor now sits.

BetVictor also built its name through sport. Gambling Insider reports that it sponsored Liverpool's training kit from 2016 to 2019, and SBC News that it was Fulham's main shirt sponsor until the summer of 2022. In snooker it sponsored the Welsh Open from 2013 and was title sponsor of eight World Snooker Tour events in the 2023/24 season.

What happened to VC Bet?

VC Bet was the online betting site of the Victor Chandler bookmaker. Copies of vcbet.com from 2007 and of victorchandler.com from 2008 show the same VCBet betting site under both addresses, with sports, live betting and horse racing.

On 22 October 2026, vcbet.com forwarded straight to betvictor.com. The Gambling Commission register does not list VC Bet as a trading name. It lists BetVictor under BV Gaming Limited, so a VC Bet account question today goes to BetVictor.

The forwarding address shows where the brand went. It does not show how the business behind it changed between then and now, and this review does not describe that.

Which other brands run on BetVictor's technology?

BVGroup runs partner brands on its own technology alongside BetVictor. When the group took its new name in June 2023, Gambling Insider listed Parimatch, Heart Bingo, BildBet and talkSPORT BET. Betano followed: it went live in the UK on 10 May 2024 at betano.co.uk with BVGroup as its principal technology and core services partner, SBC News reported, and with BVGroup's in-house player protection system, Sentinel, which provides automated messaging and risk assessment.

Gibraltar's official list of approved brands, dated March 2026, shows a sister company, BV (Gibraltar) Limited, holding betting licence RGL No. 001 and gaming licence RGL No. 014, with Heart Bingo, talkSPORT BET, Parimatch, Betano and SmoothSpins among its white labels. The UK register shows the same pattern: Betano, Parimatch and talkSPORT BET are trading names on BV Gaming Limited's account.

Has BetVictor faced an advertising ruling?

Yes. On 19 April 2023 the Advertising Standards Authority upheld a ruling against a paid-for Facebook ad from BV Gaming Ltd, trading as BetVictor, seen in January 2023. It showed the FC Barcelona players Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets, and the ASA found it likely to be of strong appeal to under-18s; the ad must not appear again in its current form. The ruling is separate from the Gambling Commission, whose register shows no action against the licensee.

What does the BetVictor app declare about your data?

BV Gaming Limited's App Store privacy label is one of the broader ones in this comparison. It declares that purchases, user content, identifiers and usage data may be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites. Purchase history and identifiers may be linked to your identity for third-party advertising, and contact details for the developer's own marketing. The label is the developer's declaration and has not been verified by Apple. The listing offers the app in English only.

BetVictor: the summaryBetVictor

BetVictor is licensed to BV Gaming Limited, account 39576, based in Gibraltar, with no regulatory action recorded. Its app listing centres on horse racing, with streaming, form and Best Odds Guaranteed described by the publisher, and needs iOS 16.0 or later. The vcbet.com address now leads to BetVictor. Its help centre lists four withdrawal methods for UK customers, debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfer, with a £5 minimum, and its terms say BetVictor charges no fee for deposits or withdrawals. Offer terms could not be read from BetVictor's own pages, so check them before opening an account. 18+. BeGambleAware.
