This NetBet review is built from the Gambling Commission's public records and the NetBet Sport app listing on the UK App Store. The Commission register shows Netbet Enterprises Limited, account 39170, holding remote licence 039170-R-319343-033. Betting on real and virtual events, casino and linked gambling software have been active since 8 December 2017, and pool betting since 8 November 2017. The head office is in Msida, Malta, and the register lists one trading name, netbet, under the account.
The App Store listing names NetBet Enterprises Limited as developer and provider. The sports app is separate from the company's casino app.
The listing names football, horse racing, tennis, golf, boxing and UFC, plus eSports and Aussie Rules. For football it mentions the Champions League, the Premier League and other European leagues; for racing, live odds on meetings including the Cheltenham and Ascot festivals.
Features described are a Bet Builder with dynamic odds, sports stats and form for major leagues, a personalised display with an A to Z sports menu, and "thousands of live markets daily" followed through Match Live updates. Login can use Face ID or Touch ID on supported devices.
These are the publisher's descriptions. The listing also promotes boosts and free bet offers; this review does not describe offers, because their terms could not be read from a NetBet page.
On 5 November 2025 the Commission recorded a settlement with Netbet Enterprises Limited. A section 116 review followed a compliance assessment of the licence. It found failings in anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing controls and in social responsibility controls, relating to the licensee's online casino and betting.
The breaches, over varying periods between October 2023 and July 2024, concerned paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of licence condition 12.1.1 on money-laundering risk assessment, policies and controls, and six paragraphs of social responsibility code provision 3.4.3 on remote customer interaction. They also covered code provision 3.2.11, code provision 5.1.9 on marketing, and licence condition 15.3.1 on regulatory returns. The licensee agreed to pay £650,000 in lieu of a financial penalty. The licence remains active on the register.
The Commission's public statement on the case explains what its officials found. Deposit limits ran per calendar month, so one customer deposited £31,000 in two days: £15,500 at the end of one month and £15,500 at the start of the next. Signs of harm such as overnight play and deposits that quickly used up a limit were often picked up only once an account was reviewed by hand. The licensee appeared to rely too heavily on financial triggers, and some customers were allowed to spend out of proportion to their net income. Its money-laundering risk assessment left out risks including high-stakes gambling and third-party business relationships.
Two smaller points concerned the website. On 11 April 2024 it carried no warning that underage gambling is an offence, which the licensee put right at once, and a £1 million jackpot prize was shown without its significant terms, an isolated case in the Commission's words. Besides the £650,000, the licensee agreed to an independent audit of its policies and controls and to pay towards the Commission's costs. The Commission credited it with putting an action plan in place quickly and co-operating fully. The findings cover periods between September 2022 and July 2024, not how the site works today.
Trade reporting gives a picture of the sportsbook's development. In 2022 NetBet extended its deal with the racing data supplier SIS from greyhounds to horse racing, which SBC News put at 65,000 live racing events a year with streamed pictures and data. In March 2025 it became the official sportsbook and betting partner of the UFC in the UK, Ireland, Greece, Italy and Romania, which fits the UFC coverage named in its app listing. For support, the Google Play listing gives the address support@netbet.com.
The listing names "Instant Payments to your Bank, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Debit Card" for deposits and withdrawals. It does not give limits, fees or processing times, and the listing's description of withdrawals as fast is a marketing claim we cannot check. NetBet's terms and conditions (version 5.5 of 17 August 2026, read on 21 October 2026) set a minimum of £10 for any withdrawal request; a smaller amount needs a request to customer services. The privacy label lists contact info, financial info, identifiers, location and usage data among data the app may collect.
The register lists seven NetBet domains on the same licence: netbet.co.uk and its sport, casino, live, vegas, poker and lottery sub-sites. Sports betting is one part of a wider product range run by the same company.
The App Store version history starts with version 1.0 on 8 June 2021; the latest entry is version 1.0.18, dated 14 April. Beyond the European leagues already named, the listing mentions MLS, the Chinese Super League and South American football. Its privacy label, declared by NetBet Enterprises Limited, says identifiers and usage data may be used to track you across other companies' apps and websites, and that your name, address, email and phone number may be linked to your identity and used for the developer's own marketing.
